Faoilean Pottery Studio is the only residential pottery in this beautiful Gaelteacht area. It is within walking distance of the village of Ballyferriter and offers residential and non residential courses to all age groups, with or without experience. The course is limited to six students ensuring a friendly atmosphere and individual attention, experiencing the full ceramic cycle from clay preparation to loading and firing of the kiln, throwing the potters wheel and decorating your own pots. Accomodation is two twin bedded rooms and one double with breakfast. Meals can be arranged locally. Betty is a qualified potter, working with stoneware clay and also running evening classes throughout the year. |
