The Discover Kerry project has been shortlisted for this year’s prestigious LAMA All-Ireland Community and Council Awards. The awards, now in their 19th year, will take place on Saturday, February 22nd in Cork, and aim to celebrate the vital work done by communities and local authorities across Ireland. They shine a spotlight on collaborative efforts that improve communities, reward unsung heroes, and acknowledge the significant contributions made to public life.
Discover Kerry is a finalist in the Best Communications Initiative Project category, which recognises projects that have demonstrated outstanding innovation in communications for a local product or service over the past year. The goal of Discover Kerry is to position the county as a vibrant, innovative, and attractive place to live, work, and visit. By broadening the county’s narrative and showcasing its diverse economic strengths, the initiative seeks to transform perceptions of Kerry—not only as a holiday destination but as a place with abundant opportunities, a high quality of life, and a connected, supportive community.
The initiative has involved a multi-phase process of careful planning, collaboration, and digital innovation to ensure a strong and consistent message delivered through www.discoverkerry.com.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place at the Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork on Saturday February 22nd. View the full shortlist HERE.
