Kerry County Museum
Experience Kerry’s past and find out about the great Kerry explorer, Tom Crean in this award-winning museum. The museum brings the story of Kerry, its people and landscape to life. Experience medieval Tralee in a walkthrough, life-size display. Discover more about Tom Crean’s expeditions to the Antarctic and the courage of the voyagers.
Siamsa Tire – The National Folk Theatre of Ireland
Celebrate and experience traditional Irish music, song and dance performances in the centre of Tralee. With exhibitions, guided tours and workshops, you can immerse yourself in Irish folk culture.
Blennerville Windmill and Visitor Centre
Just a short walk from Tralee town centre you will find the largest working windmill in Ireland, the Blennerville Windmill. Explore the windmill on a guided tour and admire the unique views of Tralee Bay Nature Reserve. Get a closer look at the many bird species that make their home there with the Visitor Centre’s telescope.
Aqua Dome
Experience tropical temperatures all year round in one of Ireland’s largest indoor water worlds. For thrill-seekers there is the 90m high flume slide and the River Rapids or you can relax along the Lazy River or recharge in the Vitality Spa.
Fenit
Fenit is a picturesque fishing village and a discovery point for the Wild Atlantic Way. Fenit beach is a popular place for sea swimming and a great place to experience the beauty of Tralee Bay. You’ll find lots to explore and enjoy, from fishing to water activities such as kayaking and sailing.
St Brendan’s Statue and Heritage Park
Visit the 12 ft bronze status of Saint Brendan, a famed navigator who travelled the Atlantic in the middle ages – he is even rumoured to have landed in America before Christopher Columbus. You can also spend some time exploring the Heritage Park near the statue and stop to eat at one of picnic benches.
Boat trips
Explore the beautiful Fenit Harbour and Tralee Bay by boat. It’s a great way to close to marine life and experience the breath-taking scenery.
Swimming and water activities
Fenit is a great location to enjoy a range of water activities such as swimming from the sandy Fenit Beach or sea kayaking and sailing. If you’re feeling adventurous, find out about coasteering – action packed hours of adventure swimming and rock scrambling along the coast.
