A new MONOPOLY: County Kerry Edition has been announced and is set to celebrate some of Kerry’s most iconic landscapes, attractions, cultural landmarks and organisations.

World Famous Board Game

From the iconic Ring of Kerry to the stunning Dingle Peninsula and the reknowned Listowel Races, the board promises to become a celebration of everything that makes Kerry unique.

Produced by Winning Moves UK under licence from Hasbro, the board will feature more than 30 Kerry landmarks and organisations, all inspired by the county’s rich heritage, tourism offerings, culture, landscapes and community spirit.

Edging Out the Competition

County Kerry secured the official edition after a six-way selection process involving counties Donegal, Tipperary, Tyrone, Wexford and Wicklow.

According to the makers, the decision was based on three key factors:

  • Sense of Family Values
  • Civic Pride
  • Beauty

“County Kerry has ticked every box for us”  - said John Keen-Tomlinson, Partnership Manager at Winning Moves.

The makers also described Kerry as a county rich in vibrancy, culture, tourism, heritage and history — all elements they hope to capture throughout the board design.

Monopoly

A Sense of Place

The new edition will transform the classic MONOPOLY board into a distinctly Kerry experience.

Many of the traditional property spaces will become Kerry landmarks, visitor attractions and local organisations, showcasing destinations across the county.

The board is expected to feature themes including:

  • Tourism
  • Heritage
  • Culture
  • Castles
  • Outdoor adventure
  • Scenic locations
  • Local communities

Even the classic MONOPOLY train stations will receive a Kerry twist, becoming part of a themed travel set inspired by exploring the county.

The iconic Chance and Community Chest cards are also being reimagined with Kerry-inspired scenarios. One suggestions might be that driving the wrong way round Slea Head could send players “Back 3 Spaces.”

And naturally, no Kerry edition would feel complete without a nod to the world-famous International Rose of Tralee Festival!

Help Shape the Board

One of the most exciting parts of the project is that the people of Kerry — along with visitors and fans of the county worldwide — are now being invited to help shape the final board.

The public will be able to submit suggestions for:

  • Kerry landmarks
  • Attractions
  • Towns and villages
  • Organisations
  • Cultural icons
  • Hidden gems
  • Tourism experiences

This opens the door for beloved locations from every corner of the county to potentially feature in the final game.

From the Wild Atlantic coastline and mountain passes to traditional music towns, beaches, islands and heritage sites, the possibilities are endless.

Suggestions can be submitted by email to:
kerry@winningmoves.co.uk

Nominations will be accepted from:
11am on Friday 19th June 2026 until 11:59pm on 30th June 2026.

A New Way to Celebrate “The Kingdom”

For generations, County Kerry has captured imaginations around the world through its landscapes, culture, storytelling traditions and unforgettable visitor experiences.

This new MONOPOLY edition adds another exciting chapter to Kerry’s story — one that blends nostalgia, family fun and local pride.

Whether you are from Kerry, have visited before, or dream of exploring the county one day, the MONOPOLY: County Kerry Edition promises to shine a spotlight on the places and experiences that make the county so special.

And with the game launching in Spring 2027, there is now one big question for locals and visitors alike is: which Kerry landmarks deserve a place on the board?
