Company Background and Product Information

For over two decades, NOD Apiary Products Ltd. (parent company to NAI) has been at the forefront of promoting sustainable honey bee health products, safeguarding millions of honey bee colonies worldwide. With company headquarters based in Trenton, Canada, NOD produces an all-natural miticide called Formicpro™—a sustainable choice to protect honey bees from the invasive Varroa destructor mite and the number one formulated product for varroa control in North America. Formicpro is currently manufactured in a GMP-certified facility based in Canada and distributed to beekeepers in 29 countries worldwide.

Expansion into Listowel, Co. Kerry

The establishment of a second facility in Listowel, Co. Kerry, will enhance manufacturing capacities, enabling NAI to serve as a dependable, Europe-based supplier for honey bee health products, ensuring timely delivery to the market. NAI will continue to serve the market through existing channels, with plans to make products available via Listowel by Summer 2024.

David VanderDussen, CEO of NOD Apiary Ireland shares: “With the establishment of this new facility, we are enhancing our capacity to reach beekeepers across the globe and further our dedication to safeguarding honey bees. The expansion of our local presence with a physical location in Ireland marks a significant achievement for us. This period of growth presents an opportunity to share our extensive experience and expertise with beekeepers and the apiculture industry.”

Job Creation and Future Growth

The company's expansion strategy involves creating 4-7 job positions within the first year, with potential roles for up to 35 employees within three to five years.
