Orbitus and Stingray Labs have officially opened their new shared headquarters in Tralee town centre, marking a major investment in professional services, legal technology and high-value employment in County Kerry.
The 5,000 sq ft facility now supports more than 50 employees working across legal services, HR, tax, case management, technology and product development, strengthening Tralee’s position as a growing hub for innovation and modern careers in the South-West.
The opening was attended by Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, Jack Chambers TD, and Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, Norma Foley TD. Both Ministers met with senior leadership teams and toured the new premises, highlighting the importance of regional investment and job creation outside major urban centres.
Orbitus partners Tommy Walsh, Jennifer Downing, Darren Fitzgerald and Ben Hardy officially opened the office alongside Head of HR Jennifer O’Brien and Head of Innovation Mike Stack. Team members shared insights into how innovation, infrastructure and collaboration are helping to build sustainable professional services careers in Kerry.
Driving Growth in Kerry’s Professional and Technology Sectors
The new Orbitus and Stingray Labs headquarters represents a significant milestone in the development of Tralee’s professional services and technology ecosystem.
Over the past two years:
-
Stingray Labs has grown from 4 to 42 employees, creating high-skilled roles in software development, product design and digital operations.
-
Its flagship platform Beam has supported more than 3,000 home movers, helping to reduce conveyancing timelines by approximately four weeks.
-
Orbitus Law has expanded across the South-West, including its recent merger with Killarney based Pat Sheehan Solicitors.
-
Teams are now preparing to launch Sale Ready, a new digital platform designed to streamline the home-selling process.
These developments highlight the growing opportunity for technology-driven businesses to scale successfully from regional locations such as Tralee.
Speaking at the opening, Minister Jack Chambers praised the company’s commitment to regional development:
“Orbitus is a really positive story for Tralee. It’s impressive to see a company growing and creating professional jobs right here in the town centre. Their expansion reflects the wider economic momentum in the South-West, and it shows why professional services can and should be embedded in our regions. That’s exactly the kind of balanced regional growth we want to drive as a Government.”
Building Careers and Quality of Life in Kerry
The expansion of Orbitus and Stingray Labs reflects a wider trend of companies choosing Kerry as a base for growth, combining strong digital infrastructure, a skilled workforce and an exceptional quality of life.
With opportunities across technology, legal services and professional roles, Tralee continues to attract both returning talent and new professionals seeking rewarding careers without compromising on lifestyle. The new headquarters further strengthens Kerry’s reputation as a destination to live, work and grow.
