With a focus on storytelling, visual arts, and public participation, Kerry Writers Museum’s new projects are offering fresh opportunities for creatives, visitors, and literature enthusiasts to connect with the Museum in meaningful ways.
A Platform for Voices & Perspectives
The Museum is launching a dedicated blog section on its website, providing a platform for local poets, writers, and creatives to share their unique perspectives on Kerry's literary landscape, culture, and storytelling traditions.
Contributors will have the opportunity to gain exposure, support cultural heritage, and promote their own work while being featured on one of Kerry’s most cherished cultural platforms.
Writers are invited to submit blog posts on topics such as the influence of Kerry's landscape, reflections on literary traditions, or insights into their creative processes.

Women in Literature Exhibition
In an exciting development, Kerry Writers' Museum is inviting visual artists to submit work for a new, permanent exhibition entitled Women in Literature.
Artists submitting are encouraged to explore themes related to the lives and works of the remarkable women who have influenced and contributed to Kerry's literary heritage. It is aimed that the exhibition will offer fresh interpretations of these themes through various artistic media.

You Can Shape the Future of Kerry Writers’ Museum
Kerry Writers’ Museum is conducting a short public survey to gather ideas and feedback from the community.
The survey aims to inform the future development of the Museum, ensuring that its facilities and public spaces continue to reflect the needs and interests of visitors. The initiative, led by Drake Hourigan Architects and supported by Kerry County Council under the Rural Regeneration Programme, seeks to create an enhanced experience while preserving the Museum’s charm and cultural significance.
The survey takes just five minutes to complete, and participants can share their thoughts by visiting the following link:
