Brian McCarthy is the founder behind the incredible success story of Fexco. He established the company in 1981, and he's been one of the main driving force behind its remarkable journey ever since. Fexco proudly calls Killorglin, County Kerry home.

Before the Fexco adventure, Brian McCarthy had already made his mark. He spent nearly two decades at Allied Irish Banks (AIB) from 1963 to 1981, gaining invaluable experience in the world of finance.

Brian's entrepreneurial prowess has earned him prestigious awards and accolades. In 2002, he won the Ernst & Young International Entrepreneur of the Year Award, a testament to his outstanding contributions to the business world. Back in 1987, he also received the Sean F. Lemass Award for Excellence in Marketing, recognising his exceptional business mind across many facets such as marketing and business development.

And let's not forget this unique distinction: Brian McCarthy holds the title of being the very first Corkman to receive the Kerry Person of the Year Award, a recognition that speaks volumes about his significant contributions to the Kerry community.
