Street Spectacles
Experience the spectacle of Samhain Chiarraí: A Kerry Halloween—where fire, folklore and community come together in powerful street performances across the county.
At the heart of these dramatic events is the legend of An Cailleach Chiarraí, the ancient Goddess of Winter. Said to have shaped Kerry’s wild landscape, her return at Samhain marks the turning of the year—the end of the harvest and the beginning of the darker season.
As her story unfolds, streets and public spaces are transformed with fire, light, music and movement. Expect striking visual displays, immersive performances and unforgettable moments that bring this powerful Celtic myth to life.
Building on the energy and success of previous festivals, Samhain Chiarraí’s street spectacles continue to grow as signature experiences within Ireland’s Home of Halloween, supported by Fáilte Ireland.
Locations and event details will be announced over the coming months as the programme develops.
Step into the story. Feel the fire. Witness the return of the Cailleach.
