Narrated by Kerry born actress Jessie Buckley, The Cable that Changed the World is a remarkable story of the cable that developed an effective worldwide global communication system, changing the World forever.

This is the epic story of the first transatlantic communications cable. It reveals how the impossible was overcome and how the first transatlantic cable came to be laid between Ireland and Canada, linking North America and Europe in the middle of 19th Century.
